Ericsson's W25 3G Fixed Wireless Terminal is a complete voice and data solution for the 3G network. Home or small office users who want to cut their landline to mobile call costs or get rid of their landline completely will particularly benefit from the W25.

The unit operates by mains power; connects to a landline telephone or PC; and houses a 3G SIM card from any 3G network. If access to a 3G network is not possible, the W25 can also operate using GSM. The SIM card ensures all calls are sent over the mobile network so users that are making a high number of landline to mobile calls are being charged at mobile to mobile rates. Capped plans and free calls between mobiles are two of the main plans from which users will benefit. The W25 is also capable of IP faxing.

Marine and remote communication is made easy with the Ericsson W25. If accessing the Internet via a landline connection is not possible or convenient, the W25 can operate using the mobile networks to access the Internet. Using the cell network to access the Internet is more cost efficient than using satellite. Most times it can be one fifth of the price of satellite.

Connecting the W25 to your computer is via the W25's four port router or using Wifi for wireless connectivity.

The latest firmware enables users to change the network bands in the web interface to help with connection issues and fixes some minor bugs. Please note that whilst the W25 supports IP Fax, this function is not offered by all 3G network providers. Please contact our sales department to enquire further about faxing.

FAX COMING SOON

A fax service is currently in the process of being setup that will allow a user to connect a fax machine to the W25 and fax over the mobile networks.

The fax service will involve setting up an account with us and having the appropriate settings programmed into the W25. Please check with our sales department for updates by emailing sales@powertec.com.au
